WHAT IS RETREAD / RECAP?

Sometimes referred to as a recap, recapped tire or remold, retread is a tire tread used in the remanufacturing process of a worn tire. The X ONE XDS®2 Pre-Mold Retread utilizes Michelin Retread Technologies’ 9-step manufacturing process to ensure retreaded or recapped tires meet new-tire manufacturing standards – protecting your bottom line and the planet. (2) Based on replacing eight Michelin XDS^®2+ dual retreads on 11R22.5 casings with Alcoa^® Ultra ONE^® wheels with four Michelin X ONE XDS^®2 retreads on 455/55R22.5 casings with Alcoa^® Ultra ONE^® Wheels. Actual results may vary.
